Career Information

Shivam Mavi is an Indian cricketer who plays as a right-arm fast bowler. He made his debut for the Indian cricket team in January 2018, in an U-19 ODI against South Africa U-19. He is also a regular player for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Domestic Career

Mavi made his debut for the Uttar Pradesh cricket team in 2017, in the Ranji Trophy. He played in six matches in his debut season, taking 14 wickets at an average of 28.07. He was then bought by KKR for the 2018 IPL season, and has been a regular player for the team since then.

International Career

Mavi made his international debut for India in January 2018, in an U-19 ODI against South Africa U-19. He was a part of the Indian team that won the 2018 ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup, and was one of the standout performers for the team. He has not yet made his debut for the senior Indian cricket team.

News

In January 2018, Mavi was bought by KKR for INR 3 crore (USD 468,000) at the IPL player auction. He made his IPL debut for the team in April 2018, in a match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. In the same match, he took the wickets of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers, two of the best batsmen in the world.
