Career Information
Shreyas Iyer is an Indian cricketer who plays as a middle-order batsman. He made his debut for the Indian cricket team in November 2017, in a T20I against New Zealand. He is also a regular player for the Mumbai cricket team in domestic cricket.
Domestic Career
Iyer made his debut for Mumbai in the 2014-15 season of the Ranji Trophy. He has since been a regular player for the team in all formats of domestic cricket. He has also played for the Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL), and was their captain in the 2020 season.
International Career
Iyer made his international debut for India in November 2017, in a T20I against New Zealand. He has since played in both T20Is and ODIs for India. He was a part of India’s squad for the 2019 Cricket World Cup, but did not play in any of their matches.
In March 2021, Iyer suffered a shoulder injury during the first ODI against England and was ruled out of the remainder of the series.

In March 2020, Iyer was named as the captain of the Delhi Capitals for the 2020 season of the Indian Premier League. He led the team to their first-ever IPL final, where they lost to the Mumbai Indians.

Records
- Shreyas Iyer is the youngest player to score a century for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy, when he scored 109 against Gujarat in the 2014-15 season at the age of 20.
