Career Information
Yashasvi Jaiswal made his List A debut for Mumbai in September 2019, in the 2019–20 Vijay Hazare Trophy. He was the leading run-scorer in the tournament with 564 runs in just six matches. He then made his first-class debut for Mumbai in the same month. In January 2020, he was bought by Rajasthan Royals for INR 2.4 crore at the IPL auction. He made his IPL debut in the same year and became the youngest player to score a fifty in the IPL.
Major Achievements
Yashasvi Jaiswal’s major achievements include being the Player of the Tournament in the 2020 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup, where he scored 400 runs in six innings at an average of 133.33, including a century in the semifinal. He also scored a double century in the 2019–20 Vijay Hazare Trophy, becoming the youngest batsman to score a List A double century.
